How To Take Care Of Your Hair During The Lock-down

As all of you must have already figured out, more than 20% of the world’s total population has been confined to their homes due to the ongoing coronavirus.  Or if you want a numeric figure one in five people all over the world is stuck at home, maintaining social distancing and shielding themselves from this potentially fatal virus.

For most of us, however, this is not a vacation. Everyone is trying to manage their children and work from home at the same time. As you can imagine, this often leads to the creation of a hectic schedule which in turn can make us neglect our hair. It is essential that one takes some time out for their hair and treats it well.

Today we will be looking at all the ways you can take care of your hair while you are confined to your house.

Wash Your Hair

This is the most obvious one and so, I would like to get it out of the way really fast. Somebody, ages ago said that it is not healthy to wash your hair frequently. They were not serious. You need to wash your hair with a mild shampoo to ensure that your hair and scalp are free from dust and grime. Yes, even during the lockdown there are various factors that may cause hair to get dirty from all the pollutants inside the house.

Things like smoke from the stove fire and cooking may damage your hair. So, it is advisable that you wash your hair 2-3 times a week. Do remember to use a mild shampoo along with a conditioner.

Oil Your Hair

Hair oil plays a big part in providing essential nutrients to your hair. It also provides nourishment to the hair follicles. The best thing for your hair is cold-pressed oils, extra virgin olive oil, and coconut oil. You need to very gently massage your scalp with oil and massage it in as that helps with circulation and hair growth.

Now that you are stuck at home without anywhere to go, it is a bright idea to massage oil to your scalp without any inhibitions. Regular oil massage over a period of time is known to aid in hair growth.

Hot Towel Spa

The best way to ensure that the oil deeply nourishes your hair is by wrapping a hot towel around your hair. This is probably the easiest thing you can do on this list. All you have to do is dip your towel into warm water and after you are done straining it, wrap it around your head. Keep it for 6-8 minutes and then rinse.

Packs Are Your Best Friend

When you are stuck inside the house due to the lockdown you have the freedom to put whatever you want in your hair. Every hair problem requires you to put different ingredients in your hair. Here are some packs you can try out.

Split Ends

For this issue, you need to nourish your hair with protein. A pack of egg yolk, mixed with lukewarm water, almond oil, and olive oil works the best. If you want a simpler fix, try some beer. The sugar present in the beer acts as a conditioner that makes the hair really nice and soft after a rinse. You can also use chamomile for your hair. Rinse your hair with chamomile tea and then wash your hair.

This is one of the most common hair related problems a person can go through. Practically anything can make you lose hair and each time that happens it is a scary proposition. So the home remedy for hair-fall is fenugreek paste made from fenugreek seeds. To make a paste from fenugreek seeds you have to soak them overnight in water.

Dry Hair

Dry hair can further lead to hair damage and breakage. To counter this one needs to make a pack that consists of egg whites, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. Just apply it over your scalp and then wash it off after 30-40 minutes.

Oily Hair

Just the way dryness is bad for hair, similarly excessive oil is bad for your hair. To combat this make a paste of aloe vera and mix it with regular shampoo. The aloe vera gel will help you get rid of excessive oil.

Frizzy Hair

Apple cider vinegar is frizzy hair’s best friend. This is because apple cider vinegar has alpha-hydroxy and vitamin A&C  that help make your hair smooth and voluminous. All you have to do is add a couple of drops of apple cider vinegar and watch the magic happen as frizziness leaves and smooth, luscious hair is left behind.

The best part about hair care is that you don’t even have to stop doing other things. This is a great way to multitask. To pass time when you put these packs on you can work or play a game. If you need a game to play I would suggest valorant. It might seem a little complicated at the beginning but a cheap valorant boosting should be able to help you out.
